A native utility for macOS
Whatever you’ve selected. One shortcut away.
Pick a few images, a folder, a paragraph or a link. Press ⌃⇧Space and ActOnMac shows only the actions that fit. Then it does them, right on your Mac.
- 1 · Select 18 images
- 2 · Press the shortcut
- 3 · Type “webp”
- 4 · Convert
- 5 · Done
01 How it works
Select, shortcut, done
Select.
Files and folders in Finder, text in any app, or whatever’s on your clipboard. Drop files on the palette if you like.
Shortcut.
⌃⇧Space from anywhere. Change it to anything you like in Settings.
Done.
Arrow keys, Return, finished. Progress for big batches, a clear result, and Undo for the Trash.
02 Context-aware actions
It knows what you picked.
No giant menu. An image gets image actions, twelve files get batch actions, a link gets link actions. Try it.
Resize, compress, convert and rotate come first. Copies are saved next to the original, so nothing is overwritten by surprise.

05 Native Mac integration
Made of Mac. Not a web page.
A real Mac app
No Electron, no browser inside. A small universal app for Apple Silicon and Intel that sits quietly until you call it.
Reads your Finder selection
Asks Finder what’s selected, the way macOS intends. You approve it once.
Selected text, anywhere
Reads the text you’ve highlighted in other apps. Without permission, it uses your clipboard instead.
Image work done properly
Apple’s image engine for PNG, JPEG, HEIC and TIFF, plus Google’s reference encoder for WebP. Orientation and colour respected.
Never touch the mouse
Type to filter with fuzzy matching, ↑↓ to choose, ↩ to run, ⌘1–9 for quick picks, Esc to go back.
Feels like it shipped with macOS
Follows your appearance and accent colour, respects Reduce Motion, and keeps an optional menu bar icon.
06 Privacy & local-first
Your files never leave your Mac.
Every action runs locally. ActOnMac works offline once it’s activated, and there’s nothing to sign up for.
The only time it talks to the internet: activating (a random license token and an anonymous ID for your Mac) and a quiet license check about once a week. That’s it. Read the privacy policy.

08 Questions
Good questions.
Is this a subscription?
No. You pay $9.99 once and keep ActOnMac. Updates for version 1 are included.
Which Macs does it run on?
macOS 13 Ventura or later, on Apple Silicon and Intel. Each release is built and tested automatically on macOS 15.
Does it use AI or send anything to a server?
No AI, and no uploads. Images, files, text and links are processed on your Mac. The only network requests are activation and a weekly license check.
What permissions does it need?
Two, both optional and explained on first launch. Finder access (Automation) lets it see your Finder selection. Accessibility lets it read text you’ve selected in other apps and lock your screen. Without them, ActOnMac falls back to your clipboard.
How does activation work? Is there a license key?
No key to type. After paying you get a page with a download button and an “Activate in ActOnMac” button. Click it and the app activates itself. Bookmark that page; it’s also where you manage your Macs.
I got a new Mac. Now what?
Open your license page, remove the old Mac (or choose Deactivate in the app’s Settings), then activate on the new one. Your license covers three Macs at once.
macOS says it can’t check ActOnMac for malicious software.
Early builds are not yet notarized by Apple. The first time, right-click ActOnMac in Applications and choose Open, then Open again. After that it launches normally.
Does it overwrite my originals?
Resize, compress and convert save new copies next to the originals. Rotate and Remove Metadata change the file itself, and move the original to the Trash first so you can get it back.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If ActOnMac isn’t right for you, email within 14 days of buying for a full refund. See the refund policy.
How do I get help?
Email nathanjhsn@icloud.com. A person reads every message.
Stop doing tiny jobs the long way.
Select something. Press the shortcut. Done.
